Faith & Learning Institute: Mentoring Program
Colorado Springs, CO, USA
The Faith & Learning Institute (FLI) is a formation-centered, practice-oriented mentoring model for mid-career educators who integrate Christian faith with teaching, scholarship, and public engagement. Participants will receive frameworks and tools to strengthen their faith-and-learning integration and to cultivate a campus culture that supports this work.
Some key information about the FLI:
Two retreats at the Glen Eyrie Conference Center in Colorado Springs, CO.
August 3 – 7, 2026
June 1 – 4, 2027
A one-on-one year-long mentoring relationship with a seasoned expert in faith and learning.
Four virtual cohort seminars and institutional impact design sessions during the academic year.
Participants will develop teaching and scholarly projects.
Participants will create a specific plan to multiply faith and learning leaders on their campus.
Institutional investment is $3,500 per person, which includes: room and board at the retreats, activities at the retreats, specific feedback on all assignments, follow-up mentorship and guidance for the year, and additional follow-up by the CCCU Director of Faith Integration for two years after the FLI.

The Lilly Network National Conference
Fairfield, CT, USA
The Lilly Network of Church-related Colleges and Universities holds its annual National Conference each fall on one of the Network’s member campuses. Representatives from the Network colleges and universities meet to consider a significant issue of faith and learning, exchange ideas and practices regarding their mission, and foster the whole range of Network programs and activities.
Registration for the 2026 National Conference will begin in the spring of 2026.

Teaching for Wisdom: One Biblical Model for Academic Faith Integration

Faculty, deans, and provosts were invited to participate in this free 90-minute interactive workshop exploring academic faith integration through the pedagogical lens of the Bible's wisdom literature.
Facilitated by Paul Kaak, Ph.D., Senior Consultant and Lead Trainer for TheoMetrics, this faculty development workshop equipped participants to consider how faith and learning can be more intentionally integrated across the curriculum. TheoMetrics partners with faith-based Christian higher education institutions to build robust systems of academic faith integration.

Teaching & Mentoring STEM Students
In this interactive workshop, Deborah Haarsma, Ph.D., Executive Director of the International Network for Christian Higher Education, explored practical ways STEM faculty can integrate faith and meaningful conversations into already full courses. Participants examined:
How Christian faith shapes the work of science, technology, healthcare, and related disciplines.
The needs of today's students and strategies for engaging STEM topics in a polarized culture.
Practical examples of student activities for lectures, labs, internships, and departments.
Ways to apply these ideas within their own academic contexts.

2026 CCCU NetVUE Pre-Conference Session
The CCCU hosted a pre-conference session, "Everyday Christian Teaching," at the 2026 Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE) Conference on March 19, 2026. The half-day gathering brought together educators to explore practical approaches to integrating faith and learning in everyday teaching.
The session was facilitated by David I. Smith, Professor and Director of the Kuyers Institute for Christian Teaching and Learning at Calvin University, who guided participants through thoughtful discussion and practical strategies for Christian teaching.

2026 CCCU International Forum
The 2026 CCCU International Forum brought together Christian higher education leaders from around the world for three days of inspiring keynote speakers, worship, breakout sessions, networking, and collaboration.
Held in Dallas, Texas, from January 29–February 1, 2026, the Forum, hosted once every four years, welcomed presidents, cabinet members, academic deans, and other campus leaders to explore the most pressing opportunities and challenges facing Christian higher education while strengthening connections across the global CCCU community.
